Description
Audi surprised friend and foe in 1998, when the first TT coupe and roadster were unveiled. Reactions ranged from brilliant to endearing and everything in between. However, the combination of the unchangeable, unique design and Volkswagen's very modern technology for the time, proved to be a hit. It took quite a long time for the archetypal Audi TT model to reach ´future classic´ status. Now more than 20 years later, we are slowly finding out that there are fewer and fewer untouched, in good condition, low-mileage examples available for sale.
We currently have a very special TT roadster from the first series in our Selected Classics collection for several reasons. First of all, the special colour: Mauritius blue metallic. You must have seen this colour in person and preferably in daylight. Really beautiful, especially in combination with the silver 18-inch 8-spoke S line wheels, the black convertible roof and interior, finished in a leather/alcantara combination, with satin-polished aluminium inlays. A top combination. Only 125,500 kilometres of experience, cherished for 21 years by only 3 previous owners, and fully serviced according to regulations, exclusively at the Audi dealership. Recently had a major service where all filters, spark plugs and fluids and the multi belt were replaced. The car is ready for many carefree miles in the future.
This very rare TT roadster from the first series with the VR6 cylinder engine and the 6-speed DSG automatic gearbox which, if desired, can also be operated manually via the steering wheel. As soon as you start the engine of this roadster, you immediately hear the full dark and unmistakable sound of this VR6. This beautiful Audi drives wonderfully sporty yet with a nice comfortable edge. 250 hp with the lightning-fast automatic gearbox makes it surprisingly fast, especially for the time, and the quattro all-wheel drive ensures unprecedented traction and handling. The car is completely original with largely the first layer of paint (tailgate has been painted very professionally), has virtually no wear and tear and is also equipped with generous standard equipment: in 2003 already Xenon lighting, a power convertible top and windshield, climate control, extensive original Audi Concert II audio, seat heating, electrically opening trunk lid and tank lid, et cetera. Ensure your self many sunny, sporty and trouble-free miles with this beautiful roadster. An investment for the future as prices slowly but surely continue to rise, especially in this rare version.
