Description

The Porsche Boxster has now become a staple of the Porsche sports car range. Take the Boxster 987 S, for example. 295 hp from a 3.4-litre six-cylinder flat-six mid-engine, producing over 1,400 kg of power. A true sports car. Good examples with the right history and specifications are becoming increasingly hard to find, particularly because owners know that since 2016 no more basic versions with naturally aspirated six-cylinder engines have been produced, production has now ceased entirely and a successor remains highly uncertain. But…. You guessed it, we have once again managed to add a particularly fine example to our Selected Classics collection, which naturally meets our quality criteria. A stunning manual 987 S.

Yet another special Boxster for a number of reasons. Naturally, the fantastic colour combination, featuring GT Silver Metallic paint (slightly darker than standard silver-grey) paired with the cocoa brown leather interior, polished aluminium trim and the brown soft top. Together with the original 19-inch 997 Turbo wheels, it’s truly a sight to behold. ‘Timelessly sporty’ is perhaps the best description. It also comes with an extensive range of standard equipment. The key features are: the comprehensive cocoa brown leather package with leather on the seats, door panels, centre console and dashboard; sports seats with seat heating; Sport Chrono Plus; climate control; xenon headlights; rear parking sensors; Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM = adjustable dampers); Porsche audio upgrade with CD changer; Class 3 alarm; and so on. This Boxster has covered just 85,000 km over 18 years. This is an original Dutch car from its first owner, with original paintwork all round and therefore guaranteed to be accident-free. The car has demonstrably always been serviced at the Porsche dealer.

Then there’s the driving. It’s always striking just how well a Porsche Boxster of this generation and in this condition drives. First and foremost, the excellent chassis balance and high body rigidity. Combined with the fantastic performance and, above all, the unrivalled soundtrack of the 3.4-litre flat-six. Unique to Porsches of this generation with the naturally aspirated engine and no OPF filter. Add to that the pure steering feel, the excellent seating position, the crisp and direct-shifting manual gearbox and the solid build quality, and you have an incomparable driving experience that only Porsche can offer. The quiet, winding B-road, the top down, the sun on your head and the wind in your hair. Life is too short to drive boring cars. Now is your chance to get your hands on this stunning Porsche Boxster S and make every future drive an unforgettable one.
